A few weeks ago, I had a great portrait session with my good friends, the Rusts. We started out at the World War II Memorial on the National Mall in DC and then drove up to the LDS temple to finish up. Here's a few of my favorite shots from the day.
We were running a little behind when we got to the temple, and it was rapidly becoming dark, so we broke out the flash for the rest of the shots.
Our baby Lori turned 1 a couple months ago. I'm a little late, but I wanted to post a few photos I took of her a couple month prior in honor of her birthday. These first few were taken at Lake Ridge Park near our home.
Here's one where you can read her Onesie, which is the coolest Onesie ever. She's even collecting some leaves to compost!
These next two were taken the next day in our front yard right as we were heading out for church. I did a little weird (for me) processing on the last one. I like it.
Over spring break, my sister-in-law's family came to visit for a few days. The past several times we've gotten together we've planned on taking some portraits of her kids, but for various reasons, it never happened.
We were determined to get them on this visit. It rained the morning we had planned to shoot them, but turned beautiful that evening. A few of my favorites are below.
I love the green in this goofy one of Elizabeth:
My kids tagged along on the shoot. Here's one of my son, Jake:
While uploading these, I remembered a few shots that I took last year of my other sister-in-law's daughter Dana and one of my daughter Claire, also at Occoquan Park:
