Heidi and Paul were married on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial, here in Washington DC, at dawn on an absolutely beautiful, crisp morning. I was lucky enough to be there to shoot the small ceremony and a few portraits afterwards.
While Heidi and Paul asked that most of their photos not be put online, they said it was ok to post this one, which is my favorite from the day:
Congratulations and thanks to Heidi and Paul!
Did you (or did they) have to get a special photography permit to allow you to shoot on the mall? I seem to remember a flap a couple of years back about the NPS enacting such a rule.
They had a permit to hold the wedding there. Security came out and asked for it beforehand.
